UK VA Conference 2020 – your guide to #VACon20

After settling into the free VA Day kick-starter session VA Breakfast the UK VA Conference 2020 has compiled an agenda that will appeal to a whole range of Virtual Assistants and their skill levels – from start-up newcomer to established and successful Virtual Assistants. Following on from the VA Breakfast Expert Panel debate around #SocialMediaVA – the value or not of social media for promoting a VA business, our theme for #VACon 20 is “Marketing 4 Sales”.

Far too often we all see good Virtual Assistants struggling to find new clients or going out of business because they can not build consistent revenue streams. ‘Feast or famine’ syndrome to describe the flow of business/revenues for small business owners is something that many SMEs struggle with and sadly, some do not survive.

To help the VA community, our spekears today will focus on elements that are core to helping any Virtual Assistant business progress and build effective marketing activities and improve revenue income.

Session One 10:15am  #SpeakupVA – Speak up and win more clients!

Networking and Public Speaking are powerful tools that go hand in hand, and when used effectively can have a huge impact as a marketing  activity to attract more clients.

Jenna is a serial networker and ex-broadcaster, with over 10 years experience as a public speaker in a variety of roles. Jenna will provide you with tips for making the most of opportunities to speak up, attract clients and make more impact in front of others.

Session Two 11:15am: #MyBrandVA – Brand or Bland – How important is your VA business name?

The panel will discuss and explore the pros and cons of business names, brands, logos etc., covering key elements of VA branding and naming issues.

The session will also cover opinions on Self Employed or Limited Company options, franchise relationships, Trademarks, Copyright, and their experiences of managing Intellectual Property in a VA business.

Session Three 12:15pm: #GDPRVA –  Understanding how to make GDPR and your legal docs work for you

Leading multi-award winning lawyer, Suzanne, is a long term knowledge contributor to the Virtual Assistant profession, setting out much of the framework for the legal documents used by the UK VA professional today.

Suzanne is also a respected author and she will share her latest updates on the progress of GDPR – an essential topic that the VA Professional needs to do their best to fully understand.

Session Four 1:45pm: #DigitalVA – Digital Marketing – Climb Online with Mark Wright

Mark Wright, BBC Apprentice Winner 2014, will need little introduction!
