Sandy Chander PA to Apprentice winner Ricky Martin joins Office* Keynote line-up and Ricky’s there too!

Office* welcomes Apprentice winner Ricky Martin and his PA Sandy Chander to its Keynote Theatre

The Office* is delighted to welcome Ricky Martin to its 2018 show. Ricky, winner of BBC’s Apprentice in 2012, founder of Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS) – a specialist science and technology recruitment consultancy will be joining the Keynote Theatre on Wednesday 28th February, alongside his PA Sandy Chander.

As chair of the Life Sciences Committee of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, his credentials as a scientist and qualifications in professional recruitment, Ricky’s business – in partnership with Lord Sugar, is fast becoming known for its passion and vision to assist in the quality and improvement of life for all.

Ricky and Sandy will be answering questions from an onstage guest, as well as taking input from the audience. Attendees to this complimentary session will leave with a host of practical advice and insights, applicable to the daily lives of PAs.

The presence of Ricky and Sandy continues the overall show focus upon the varied opportunities and role requirements of the modern PA and EA. This interactive session will explore themes, including how the role differs once working with someone in the public eye, where your role can lead you, and how to be an even better assistant to your boss.

Ricky is attending the show as part of his longstanding support of the children’s charity Jeans for Genes, which is the official charity partner for Office* this year. Laura Pattison, Jeans for Genes comments:

“We are delighted to have the support of 2012 BBC Apprentice winner Ricky Martin. Ricky has been an ambassador of our charity fundraising appeal for over five years. As the founder of HRS, Ricky brings a huge passion for science to Jeans for Genes Day. Recently, Ricky visited supporting schools helping inspire budding scientists to pursue a career in genetics in the hope that we can build a better future for children affected by life-altering genetic disorders.

Sandy Chander, Ricky’s PA, works tirelessly to support Ricky in his endeavours and has gone above and beyond working with Ricky to raise awareness and funds for Jeans for Genes Day. Ricky, Managing Director of HRS said:

“I’m involved with Jeans for Genes for a number of reasons. As a scientist, I care about helping people and that’s fundamental to what this charity is about. Fundraising for charities should be fun and throughout the process people need to remember who they’re helping, how it’s helping and the most important thing of all; raising awareness of genetic disorders”.

On behalf of all the children and families we support, we are immensely grateful for their ongoing commitment to our charity”

Office* Event Director, Duncan Siegle, comments on the point of difference Ricky will bring to the show:

“Sandy and Ricky bring both sides of the PA and the boss viewpoint to this question orientated session. The additional involvement of fame to Ricky’s working life means this session can look at the PA role in life beyond the office. Sandy will enlighten the audience on high profile events, gaining PR opportunities, and the unique benefits and downfalls of being a celebrity’s PA.

“The session complements the show as a whole, which will provide attendees with personal development opportunities. Visitors to the show can attend sessions within the Keynote Theatre, book specific training sessions, meet relevant suppliers within the exhibition hall, and network with their peers, amongst many other visitor experiences.”

Office* is at Olympia London on Wednesday 28th February and Thursday 1st March. Grab a seat in the Keynote Theatre 11.00am – 12.00pm on Wednesday 28th February for Ricky and Sandy’s session.
