Electricity firm UK Power Networks has collected business attire to help unemployed women prepare for job interviews.
UK Power Networks have collaborated with the charity Smart Works who offer free interview-appropriate clothing and skills training to women who are unemployed or on zero-hour contracts.
Employees set up collection points across London, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Crawley, and Maidstone.
The staff donated eight huge bags of garments, including suits, dresses, blouses, skirts, trousers, jackets, coats, shoes, handbags, and accessories.
UK Power Networks delivers electricity 8.5 million homes and businesses across London the South East and the East.
Smart Works helps unemployed women secure employment by providing them with high-quality, interview-appropriate clothing and interview coaching. Their mission is to empower women with the confidence and skills they need to succeed in job interviews and transform their lives.
Over the past decade, Smart Works has supported over 40,000 women across the UK, helping them to overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
