SITE Incentive Summit Americas 2026 makes waves with the association’s first cruise-based event

Global incentive travel professionals gathered aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas for connection, education and destination discovery, as SITE delivered the first cruise-based event in its history

SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) reached a milestone with the successful delivery of its first cruise-based event, as incentive travel professionals gathered for the 2026 Incentive Summit Americas from 13 to 16 March. The sailing from Miami to The Bahamas combined business connection, education and destination experience, while showcasing the growing potential of cruise within the incentive travel sector.

Intimate by design, Incentive Summit Americas was developed to foster meaningful business connections between buyers and suppliers, while also giving delegates first-hand insight into the potential of cruise products within the incentive travel sector.

“At SITE, we are always looking for ways to bring our community together in settings that spark new thinking and open up new possibilities,” said Annette Gregg, CEO of SITE. “Taking Incentive Summit Americas to sea for the first time was a bold step for us. It reflected the creativity and evolution of our industry, while giving attendees the chance to experience, in a direct and memorable way, how a cruise product can support meaningful connection, strong business outcomes and exceptional incentive travel design.”

The programme balanced structured business exchange with time for organic relationship building and destination immersion. A new Partner Marketplace debuted, creating a dedicated setting for buyers to meet participating partners before moving into a curated gifting experience. Education sessions across the sailing complemented this with practical insight and sector discussion, including content focused on cruise products and its role in incentive travel.

Saturday’s programme combined morning education with time at Perfect Day at CocoCay, giving attendees the chance to experience the destination in a more flexible and personal way, while also creating opportunities for informal hosting and one-to-one engagement. A drinks reception that evening brought delegates back together after a day designed to showcase the kind of freedom and customization many incentive buyers seek.

On Sunday, the summit continued with further education, followed by the reveal of Snowmass, Colorado as the next destination in the ISA journey. Delegates also took part in CSR activities in Nassau, giving the programme a community-focused dimension and reinforcing SITE’s ongoing commitment to purpose alongside business value.

“Holding this event aboard Wonder of the Seas was a powerful reminder of why cruise lines have become an increasingly compelling choice for incentive programmes. For destinations with access to the sea, a cruise offers something no single land-based venue can match: a floating environment that moves through multiple destinations, while keeping your group together and your programme cohesive. This week, we saw how cruise-based incentives combine world-class hospitality, impactful business interaction, and memorable destination moments in one seamless environment,” added Hasan Dinc, President, SITE.

By bringing together education, business exchange, leisure time, CSR and destination storytelling in one programme, SITE Incentive Summit Americas 2026 gave attendees both strategic insight and practical inspiration. From Miami to The Bahamas, the event showcased how incentive travel continues to evolve, and how the industry can create richer, more flexible experiences for participants and clients alike.
